Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing developed over thousands of years as part of the traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture is a combined term for needle and moxibustion, includes acupuncture theory, acupoints, acupuncture and related equipments.
Chinese medicine needling is a disease treatment by inserting filiform needles to acupoints in body, manipulated by either twirling, lifting, thrusting or other techniques.
Moxibustion is to smoke the skin at certain acupoints by burning moxa, to use thermal stimulation to treat disease.
Tuina is a hands-on body treatment that uses TCM and martial art principles to bring the body to balance.
Program Description
This program aims to practical use of acupuncture. TCM theories are taught but not circumscribed in. Case-treatments for Chronic and Acute Pain, Neurological Disorders, Upper Respiratory Disorders, Digestive Disorders, Urinary and Reproductive Disorders etc. will be detailedly studied as an important part of this program.
The program is scheduled to begin with the Basic Theory of Chinese Medicine, through Classic Theory of Chinese Medicine including Meridians, Acupoints, Techniques of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and Acupuncture Therapeutics and unique Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment for different patients with different diseases, and finally give the students hospital probation.
All the profound theories of the course will be explained in simple language in English with the aim of helping students to understand clearly and fully. And the professional and sufficient clinical practices ensure the practical application after completing this program.
