Program Description
Study Chinese and experience its culture in multi cities during summer and winter holiday. 5-week Chinese studies followed by 1-week Language Tutoring in Yangshuo and 1-week Travel Excursions in Beijing. Transcripts and certificate available. Program starts in Guangzhou and ends in Beijing. Allied Gateway will assist you with transportation from Beijing to your departure city.
The program allows you to immerse yourself in real life experiences that require you to utilize and develop your Mandarin communication skills through authentic daily practice and activities.

Features
Allied Gateway Mandarin Immersion Study-Travel Combination Program consists of two parts: Language Training and Travel Excursion. Language Training covers University Class Training, Allied Gateway Real Life Instruction and Language Oriented Activities in Yangshuo. Travel Excursion occurs when classes in Yangshuo finishes. Allied Gateway will take you to the heart of China - Beijing. Excursions, sightseeing and cultural workshops and seminars will be held on spot.
The University Class Training integrates all different skills of the language: phonetics, speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary. Allied Gateway Real Life Instruction is held every two weeks exclusively to Allied Gateway participants. Instructions occur in real life settings with one subject in each section. Subjects include eating, transportation, theatre, shopping, job hunting, seeing a doctor etc.

Curriculum
Classes are divided into 3 basic levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Under each level, there are 2 sub-levels so that each student can be placed at the perfect learning environment that suits you the most. A placement test will be conducted after enrolment at the university.
Curriculums are designed to meet the needs of each proficiency level and the program length to ensure you progress rapidly and able to communicate in Chinese in a more effective and efficient manner.

Placement Test
Classes are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced three levels. An overall placement test including reading, writing, speaking and listening is carried out at the beginning of the program in order to place you in the most suitable environment. Beginners don’t need to take the test. The test is held one to one. All levels offered:

Evaluation and Certificates
Small quizzes will be carried out now and then to test the progress made by students. In the middle of the program, a middle exam will be conducted and a final one at the end of the program. Participants will receive official diplomas and certificates including transcripts at the end of the Program.
Accommodation
All accommodations are selected carefully for security, convenience and comfort. Program Fee varies depending on the accommodation selected. Accommodation options include:
Guangzhou
Campus Standard
All the rooms are furnished with TV, bed, telephone, desk, chair, lamp, private bathroom and air-conditioning. There are communal kitchen and laundry room on each floor. Single and double standard room available. Single and double occupancy available.
Hotel
All the rooms are modern furnished with bed, lamp, desk, sofa, wardrobe and private bathroom with 24 hours hot water. Single occupany provided only.
Homestay
Live with a local family. You will have your own room, with closet, bed, airconditioner and desk. Public shared facilities include kitchen, sitting room and bathroom. Breakfast & dinner is included.
Yangshuo & Beijing
Fully furnished with TV, airconditioning and bed, each room has its private bathroom. Laundry service is provided at the hotel. Double occupancy provided only.
Airport Transfer
Allied Gateway provides free airport arrival-pick-up service to program participants. Our staff will meet you at the arrival gate after you get your luggage and take you to your accommodation. You need to provide us with correct flight information – flight number / flight date 2 weeks before your program starts. To make sure smooth transition, you will be provided with Allied Gateway contact number before you come to China in case of last minute changes.
